Roger Corman's mythical Gothic horror hodge-podge, a quickly mounted picture made to maximize the sets of THE RAVEN and Boris Karloff's paid for time. That the movie - which was shot over the span of a year by different directors including Corman, Monte Hellman, Francis Ford Coppola and co-star Jack Nicholson - turned out this good is a miracle only Roger could have pulled off. It's a poetic, surreal, creepy and cosmic '60s shocker!
